Washington Sailing Marina, located on Daingerfield Island, is home to over 600 Potomac boaters, a renowned summertime Sailing School, four local collegiate teams, and six sailing clubs. Whether you are seeking a leisurely kayak tour at sunset or looking to finally flaunt your sailing skills, this site indeed deserves a spot on your itinerary. This Marina hosts a spacious deck to sit and watch planes land with a backdrop of the glittering Washington D.C. skyline or bring your dog to dash around on the grassy point.

We are looking forward to another amazing sailing season in 2024.  Registration for camps and lessons is now open!  We are excited to roll out our new registration platform. Everything you need for camps and lessons is now hosted through Ultracamp.

2024 Wet Slip Rates

Wet Annual (April 1st – March 31st) $13.50/ft/month
Wet Summer Seasonal (April 1st – October 31st) $17.00/ft/month
Wet Winter Seasonal (November 1st – March 31st) $17.00/ft/month
Wet Non-Season/1-month Extension $18.50/ft/month
Wet Transient $2.75/ft/night

NOTES:
  • Above rates are based on vessel length or slip length, whichever is greater. Measurement of the vessel includes swim platform & pulpit/bowsprit. Longer vessels are generally not assigned to shorter slips.
  • 40’ transient berthage slips are available. The transient dock provides for 240’ of linear dockage to accommodate longer vessels staying on transient terms only.
    • Payment is due in full prior to the reservation period. Absolutely no refunds.
  • Trailer parking is not included with wet slip reservations. If available, dry spaces may be reserved separately.

NOTES:
  • Above rates are based on the length of the vessel or the boat length designed to be carried by the trailer.
  • Only one boat may be stored per space.
  • Most of the dry slips have dimensions appropriate for narrow-beamed sailboats. Boats and trailers requiring wider berthage will be billed for 2 dry slips.
  • Payment is due in full prior to the reservation period. Absolutely no refunds.
  • All dry slips will be billed at a minimum of 14′, regardless of if the vessel LOA is less than that.

NOTES:
  • Racks are billed at a flat rate.
  • The racks are appropriate for shallow profile one-design hulls (Lasers & Sunfish), SUPs, Windsurfers,
  • Longer boats are typically assigned to top racks to avoid encroachment from protruding.
  • Vessels exceeding 16 feet (touring kayaks, rowing shells) may be stored with the reservation of 2 adjacent top racks.
  • RIBs, Jonboats, Tenders, Dinghies, and Sailboat hulls with a taller profile (e.g. Pennant Daysailer) cannot be accommodated on the racks.
  • Payment is due in full prior to the reservation period. Absolutely no refunds.

Driving

From the South

Take Interstate 95 North. Get onto 395 North. Take the Reagan National Airport/Boundary Channel Drive exit and head towards Reagan National Airport. Stay in the left lane once you get on the George Washington Memorial Parkway and pass Reagan National Airport. Washington Sailing Marina will be on your left one and a half miles past the airport.

From Washington, DC

Take the 14th Street Bridge across the Potomac into Virginia. Take the GW Parkway exit going towards Reagan National Airport. Stay in the left lane and pass Reagan National Airport. Washington Sailing Marina will be on your left one and a half miles after the airport.

From Maryland – American Legion Bridge

From 495 South, cross the American Legion Bridge into Virginia. Take the George Washington Memorial Parkway exit. Stay in the left lane and pass Reagan National Airport (about 15 miles). Washington Sailing Marina will be on your left one and a half miles after the airport.

From Maryland – Woodrow Wilson Memorial Bridge

From Interstate 95 South, take the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia. Take the first exit in Virginia into Old Town Alexandria. You will be on Route 1 North. Take a right onto Duke Street, go through two traffic lights and take a left at the third onto Washington Street. After Washington Street leaves Old Town and turns into the GW Parkway, the Sailing Marina will be on your right about 3/4 of a mile outside of Old Town.
