The Jitney

Wharf Boathouse

COMPLIMENTARY

The District Wharf Jitney provides friends of the Wharf with a complimentary ride from the recreational pier to East Potomac Park.  The Jitney typically runs every 30 minutes and can be caught at the end of the ramp just past the Wharf Boathouse rental dock.

RATE: $40/hr (4 passenger boat)

Pedal Boats are fun way to take a relaxing, leisurely pedal on the water and see the sights. Great for all ages!

Swan Boats

RATE: $36/hr (2 passenger boat)

Get out and explore in our swan boats! These fun boats are equipped with their own motor, so you can sit back and relax if you get tired of paddling.
*Please note that they are first come first serve and are meant for customers with disabilities or customer that cannot pedal.

Sailboat Rentals

Washington Sailing Marina

RATES: Sunfish Aquafin $17/hr (1-2 adults)
Flying Scot $25/hr (1-6 adults)

Aquafins and Flying Scots are the perfect daysailers. They’re great for single-handed or family fun, learning the ropes, and excellent racers.

*Need to be certified by ASA, US Sailing or pass a 20 question written exam administered in the marina office.

***Price does not include tax. Minimum rental 1 hour, prorated every 10 minutes after that. All-day rental rate is 4x hourly rate.

Kayaking

Single Kayak $20/hour, $30/half-day, $50/full-day
Double Kayak $25/hour, $35/half-day, $55/full-day (2 adults, 1 small child)

Kayaks are a great option for beginners and seasoned paddlers alike. Kayaks are appropriate for anyone ages 8 and up!

Paddle Boarding

Stand-up Paddleboarding is an incredible combination of canoeing, kayaking, and surfing all in one! People ages 8 on up can grab a SUP and go!

Rowboating

RATE: $25/hour, $35/half day, $55/full day (2-4 adults & 1 small child)

Grab your fishing poles, pack a picnic, and hit the water in search for the big one. Or go old school and grab your parasol for a romantic row around the sights.

Biking

RATE: $11/hr or $35/day

If you’re more of the landlubber type, we have quality bike rentals to get you out on a two-wheeled exploration of the scenic DC sights!

Sculling

Thompson's Boat Center

RATE:

Single Scull $22/hour, $32/half-day, $55/full-day (1 adult)
Double Scull $30/hour, $40/half-day, $60/full-day (2 adults)

Comfortable, safe and stable, sculling provides the ultimate low-impact, full-body workout and burns about twice as many calories per hour than jogging!
