Due to inclement weather and high waters, Fletchers and Thompson Boat Center will be closed for all water rentals through the weekend.  Key Bridge Boathouse is expecting to have its dock back in place and open for rentals on Saturday, while Thompson Boat Center will be moving their dock back on Monday.  Please check the boathouse pages for more updates.

The Deadrise Seafood Restaurant

Located at Fort Monroe in the Old Point Comfort Marina, The Deadrise is a full-service restaurant serving up delectable traditional cuisine with a contemporary twist. Our lunch and dinner menus offer delicious daily fish specials and other seafood items, burgers, T-bone steaks and Smithfield pork chops, along with a full bar and a great selection of beer and wine.

The restaurant is named after the Chesapeake Bay Deadrise, a type of traditional fishing boat used by Chesapeake Bay waterman year-round for everything from crabbing and oystering to catching fish or eels. Traditionally wooden-hulled, the Deadrise is characterized by a sharp bow that quickly becomes a flat V-shape moving aft along the bottom of the hull. A small cabin lies forward with a large open cockpit and work area aft.

Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
